'Metropolis' by Fritz Lang

'Metropolis' is a silent film made in 1927 and directed by Fritz Lang.

Metropolis is set in the futuristic urban dystopia and follows the attempts of Freder, the wealthy son of the city master, and Maria, a saintly figure to the workers, to overcome the vast gulf separating the classes in their city and bring the workers together with Joh Fredersen.

 

During her first year at university, Jordan was asked to redesign specific parts of the set and props originally used in the movie. She was asked to look at 3 different areas, including the robot making machine and the factory gates. Some of this work was completed during the COVID 19 pandemic of 2020.
